Morris Knolls Student Assistance Program
Parent Information and Resources
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Adolescence is a time filled with a tremendous amount of emotion. Most of us are in shock and look at our teenager and think, “Who is this person?” Not the child any longer; but a merging adult dealing with many changes. The adolescent brain is quite unique as it is pushing towards completion; add the hormonal component and we are left shaking our heads as to how we can co-exist in our homes peacefully, allow our children some independence; yet keep them safe.
Know that I am here as a resource for parents. I understand the strain that parenting an adolescent can place in a home. They are dealing with many pressures and many times need an objective person to help with their choices. Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any concerns about your child. Listed below are additional resources that have provided me with some terrific feedback over the years.
Sincerely,
Ms. Colvin
