Morris Hills
High School, located in Rockaway, New Jersey, serves
the residential communities of Rockaway Borough,
Rockaway Township, and Wharton. Our current enrollment
in Grades 9 to 12 is 1,229, and we support 28
varsity sports. Morris Hills is home to the Academy of Mathematics, Science and Engineering, a partnership with Morris County School of Technology. Morris Hills also offers a Magnet Program that focuses on research in the fields of math and science.
The school was first
opened for classes on September 9, 1953. A 39
acre site that was the former Gunther Estate serves as
campus for Morris Hills. Our school has been
nationally recognized in various activities including
Athletics, Music, Academics, and Staff Development.
Home of the Scarlet Knights, Morris Hills was named a Star School by
the NJ Department of Education. In addition, Morris
Hills has been listed in New Jersey Monthly magazine
as a Top Public School and recently received a Silver Award from US News and World Report.
