Mr. Joseph Ellis [Class Homeroom: CT]
Mr. Ellis is currently teaching US History 1A and instructing an Independent Study through the Gifted & Talented program for Social Studies Education. He serves as the Consulting Teacher for the Social Studies Department. He is a proud Morris Hills graduate. He earned a B.A. in History from Montclair State University and an M.A. in Education from Walden University. He has been teaching full-time since 1999. Mr. Ellis is an assistant coach for Girls Varsity Soccer, a co-advisor for the Ski Club ,and a member of the Staff Development Steering Committee. Mr. Melvin is his nemesis.

Mr. Bob Harkins[Class Homeroom: 159]

Mr. Harkins began teaching at Morris Hills in 2005. He attending East
Stroudsburg University where he earned his B.S. in Secondary Education and
attended New England College where he earned an M.A. in Educational
Leadership.  Mr. Harkins currently teaches five blocks of World History and coaches boys soccer and  tennis.

Mrs. Tracy Hornby [Class Homeroom: 108]

Mrs. Hornby is currently teaching Academy Social Studies and USII HG. She began teaching in Morris Hills at 2003, and has been teaching since 1998. She attended the University of Arizona earning a B.A. degree and her M.S. from Walden University. Some of her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and skiing.

Mr. Gene Melvin[Class Homeroom: 160]

Mr. Melvin has been teaching at Morris Hills for 7 years, currently
teaching Current World Issues and AP US History.  He has a BA in History
and 2 Masters' Degrees. Also, he is the Freshman Baseball Coach, Fall Weight Room Coach, and is the current PA announcer for MH Football and Wrestling. In his spare time, Mr Melvin likes working out, fishing, gardening, and rooting for the Phillies and Denver Broncos.

Ms. Kerry Riordan[Class Homeroom: 115]

 

Ms. Riordan teaches United States History I and World History, and has been teaching at Morris Hills since 1999. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Douglas College of Rutgers University and two Masters degrees from Rutgers Graduate School of Education in Social Studies Education and Educational Leadership. Ms. Riordan has been serving as the Chairperson
for the District's Goals 2020 Strategic Planning Steering Committee. She is also the advisor for the Model United Nations and for the Asian Cultural Club.

Mrs. Sherburne is currently teaching United States History 1 CPA, Sociology, and U.S. History 2 CPA. She has been teaching here at Hills since 2000.She attended Wilkes University in Pennsylvania majoring in History, where >she received a B.A. and received her M.A. in Education. She also enjoys spending time with family, especially her three boys.
