Welcome to Morris Hills on the World Wide Web. Morris Hills High School, located in Rockaway, New Jersey, serves the residential communities of Rockaway Borough, Rockaway Township, and Wharton. Our current enrollment in Grades 9 to 12 is 1,318, and we support 28 varsity sports.

     The school was first opened for classes on September 9, 1953. A 39 acre site that was the former Gunther Estate serves as campus for Morris Hills. Our school has been nationally recognized in various activities including Forensics, Athletics, Music, Academics, and Staff Development. In 1997, Morris Hills was named a Star School by the NJ Department of Education. Morris Hills has been listed in New Jersey Monthly magazine as a Top Public School.
