Additional Educational Opportunities

English as a Second Language

 

The English as a Second Language course is intended for those who native language is not English, who either wish to learn the basic patterns of English or want to improve skills which they already have.  Practice will be given in pronunciation, listening skills, reading, and writing.  Special emphasis will be given to the writing system in English. ESL classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The Fall and Spring semesters are each 16 weeks long. In-person registration is required; a short placement test will be given at registration. There is a $130 fee for these classes.
